Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: September 13, 2026
Security Camera Shop is operated by 10195648 Manitoba Inc. These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases from and use of securitycamerashop.ca. Please read them together with our Return Policy and Privacy Policy.
Your mandatory rights under applicable consumer law take precedence over these terms. A request based on those rights is not subject to our discretion to approve an exception.
Product Information and Orders
Please check the model, specifications, compatibility, quantity, delivery details and total price before placing an order. Contact us if you need help choosing a product. We aim to keep product descriptions, images, pricing and availability accurate and will correct errors when identified.
If an error or supply problem affects an order already placed, we will contact you promptly. Correcting website information does not automatically change an accepted order or remove any obligation imposed by applicable law. We will not substitute a different product or increase an agreed order price without your agreement where such a change is permitted.
Payments and Account Security
Available payment methods and the amount payable, including applicable taxes and delivery charges, are shown at checkout. By completing checkout, you authorize payment of that displayed amount using your selected method. Payment information is processed through our checkout and payment providers.
Please provide accurate contact, billing and delivery details and protect your account credentials. Contact us promptly about suspected unauthorized account use. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, unlawful activity or misuse, subject to applicable law.
Shipping and Delivery
Delivery options, charges and any stated delivery commitments are provided during the purchase process. We use carriers such as Canada Post, UPS, Purolator and FedEx. Estimated delivery times are estimates, not a waiver of any stated commitment or legal right relating to delayed or missing delivery.
If your delivery details are incorrect, contact us as soon as possible. We will explain any available correction and any additional charge before you agree to it. We do not automatically transfer responsibility for every delivery problem to the customer.
Product Availability and Fulfilment Delays
Manufacturer and supplier availability can change unexpectedly. If a shortage, discontinuation, shipping disruption or another event outside our reasonable control affects your order, we will notify you promptly and explain the available options. Any substitute product or revised delivery arrangement requires your agreement.
Where permitted by applicable law, we may cancel an unfulfilled order, or the affected portion, if we cannot obtain or deliver the goods as agreed. Otherwise, we will work with you on a lawful resolution. This is not an unrestricted right to cancel an accepted order. Where Quebec consumer law or other applicable law restricts cancellation by the seller, those protections take precedence.
If an order is cancelled because we cannot fulfil it, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled items, applicable taxes and shipping charges attributable to the cancelled portion. If the entire order is cancelled, we will refund the full amount paid. We will not deduct cancellation, restocking, administrative or payment-processing fees in these circumstances. Your right to delivery, cancellation, a refund or another remedy under applicable law is not limited by this policy.
Customer-Requested Cancellations
If you change your mind, please contact support@securitycamerashop.ca as soon as possible and include your order number. We will try to stop fulfilment, but a voluntary cancellation may not be possible once goods have been ordered from a supplier, prepared or dispatched. This does not affect any legal right to cancel. Returns after delivery are handled separately under our Return Policy and applicable law.
Where a voluntary cancellation is accepted and a deduction is permitted by law, a cancellation or restocking fee may apply under the policy disclosed before your purchase. Eligible costs are limited to reasonable, documented, non-recoverable supplier cancellation or restocking charges and freight already incurred, directly attributable to the cancelled items. We do not charge administrative fees, payment-processing fees, lost profit or ordinary overhead under this cancellation policy.
The total deduction will not exceed the lesser of those eligible non-recoverable costs or 50% of the cancelled items' selling price after discounts, excluding taxes and shipping. This is an all-in ceiling: cancellation, restocking and eligible freight deductions are included within it, not added on top. The 50% limit is a maximum, not an automatic charge. If there are no eligible non-recoverable costs, there is no cancellation fee.
We will provide an itemized explanation of any deduction, subtract refunds, credits and other recoveries, and will not charge the same cost twice. The cost of goods we retain and can recover through a supplier credit or resale will not be treated as an unrecoverable cancellation cost.
Exceptional Circumstances
Management may reduce or waive an otherwise applicable cancellation fee in genuinely exceptional circumstances, such as a natural disaster or serious personal emergency. Requests are reviewed individually and in good faith; a reduction or waiver is not guaranteed. Please contact our support team with a brief explanation. We do not require medical records or other sensitive personal documents to consider a request. This discretion does not create additional fees or limit your legal rights.
Your Legal Rights
The voluntary-cancellation fee does not apply when we cancel because we cannot supply your order, or where applicable law entitles you to cancel or receive a refund without that deduction. Claims involving defective, incorrect or non-conforming goods are not treated as a change of mind. Nothing in this policy restricts mandatory consumer rights, complaint processes or dispute remedies. New fees will not be applied retroactively to orders placed under an earlier policy.
Returns and Warranties
Our Return Policy explains the 60-day change-of-mind return window, product-condition requirements and warranty assistance. The voluntary cancellation fee is separate from a return assessment; the same cost will not be deducted under both policies.
Manufacturer warranties are additional to, not replacements for, rights and remedies available under applicable law. Defective, incorrect or non-conforming goods are not treated as a change of mind.
Promotion Administration and Policy Exceptions
Security Camera Shop administers its promotions and reviews discretionary policy exceptions in good faith, using the published terms and the information available for the order. Management makes the final internal decision on discretionary requests. This does not limit any rights or remedies available to you under applicable law, including rights relating to cancellations, refunds, warranties, complaints or disputes.
Website Content and Customer Contributions
Website text, branding, photographs and other content belong to 10195648 Manitoba Inc. or the relevant rights holder. You may use the site for lawful shopping and personal reference. Do not copy protected content for commercial use without permission or interfere with the site's operation.
If you submit a public review, photo or other contribution, you must have the right to share it and must not include unlawful content or someone else's private information. You allow us to display and format that contribution for its submitted purpose. Private support messages are not treated as permission to publish a testimonial.
Privacy and Third-Party Services
This store is hosted by Shopify. We use Shopify Network Intelligence: information from visits and purchases is shared with Shopify and other providers, including in other countries, for services that draw on interactions with this store, other merchants and Shopify. Shopify also processes information for its own Enhanced Services purposes. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal for details and applicable rights, including objection, opt-out and deletion requests.
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is used and the choices available for optional tracking and marketing. Third-party websites and services have their own terms and privacy practices. Following an external link does not change your rights concerning purchases made from us.
Resolving Concerns
Please contact our support team with your order number and a brief description of the issue so we can work toward a resolution. Any voluntary mediation must be mutually agreed and does not prevent a complaint to a regulator, a payment dispute or an available court remedy. No internal management decision removes those rights.
These terms are governed by Manitoba law together with any other mandatory laws that apply to your purchase. This does not require you to give up protections or an available forum in your own province or territory. If a term cannot lawfully be enforced, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms for future use and purchases. New fees or restrictions will not be applied retroactively to an existing order. The terms provided when an order was placed continue to govern that order, subject to applicable law and any lawful change you expressly agree to.
